Teaching Dyslexic Children to Read

Three of our members, Marion Hill, Megan Hutchinson, and  Marla Loturco. have  put together the website “Teaching Dyslexic Children to Read“. This is based on the Red-Fern Method developed by Kate Ball (who passed away a few years ago).

Marion received Kate’s materials when Kate passed away and has created this website to share with everyone who may have interest on in this subject.

We Are Looking For A Minister

“Our congregation voted overwhelmingly to start the search process for a contract minister.  Over 90% of us have never been in a UU congregation with a minister.  We seek a minister to nurture our spiritual growth, expand our understanding of UU history, and cement our place as a recognized religious presence in Texoma, comprised of towns scattered along both the Oklahoma and Texas side the Red River and Lake Texoma.  We are the only liberal religious community drawing mostly from six of the communities with a total population in excess of 140,000 residents and growing.  We are rich in potential of becoming a vibrant voice in an overwhelming fundamentalist area.  Read more about us HERE.

May Your Call Be Awakened

We come to religious community from many paths and with diverse needs:
  • If you have come here seeking comfort, may your pain be soothed.
  • If you have come here looking for answers, may you find new questions.
  • If you have come here seeking purpose, may your call be awakened.
  • If you have come here hoping to build a new way, may the path open before you.

200th Anniversary of the founding of AUA

The American Unitarian Association (AUA) is celebrating its 200th anniversary.

On May 25, 1825, the idea of creating the American Unitarian Association was presented to the Berry Street Conference. The next day, May 26th, the AUA was officially formed with the approval of bylaws. (In a fine coincidence, the British and Foreign Unitarian Association was also formed on May 25, 1825!).

UUA Joins Multifaith Lawsuit Asserting that ICE Policy Violates the First Amendment

The UUA is proud to announce we are a plaintiff in the sensitive locations policy lawsuit. We join a multifaith coalition to challenge the ending of ICE’s policy, and oppose any interpretation of law which would allow immigration raids in houses of worship and religious ceremonies.
