We Are Looking For A Minister

“Our congregation voted overwhelmingly to start the search process for a contract minister.  Over 90% of us have never been in a UU congregation with a minister.  We seek a minister to nurture our spiritual growth, expand our understanding of UU history, and cement our place as a recognized religious presence in Texoma, comprised of towns scattered along both the Oklahoma and Texas side the Red River and Lake Texoma.  We are the only liberal religious community drawing mostly from six of the communities with a total population in excess of 140,000 residents and growing.  We are rich in potential of becoming a vibrant voice in an overwhelming fundamentalist area.  Read more about us HERE.

Framily Holiday Celebration

Saturday, December 14, 2-4pm at Red River UU Church. The holidays can be difficult, but we have a solution! A gathering of friends and family to eat, drink and be merry! We’ll be having a Holiday Sweater contest (of course!) with some great prizes! The best part will be the White Elephant Re-Gifting! Bring something you already have but don’t want, something you made or get something from a thrift store, but nothing valued over $30. Wrap it up all pretty and be prepared to get Re-Gifted!

We’ll have finger foods, mulled cider, hot chocolate and the regulars, tea and coffee. All ages welcome! The celebration is free to attend, but please be sure to RSVP! Click HERE to go to our Facebook RSVP page for this event.

A community-wide event sponsored by The Rainbow Team at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church!

We Are A Sanctuary People

The message, shared the day after the U.S. national election, UUA President the Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt reminds Unitarian Universalists of their long history providing sanctuary to those in need. Rev. Dr. Betancourt affirms, “These are times that will be defined by the continued and increased need for organizing, and a faithful commitment to mutual aid.” View HERE.

Transgender Day of Remembrance 2024

Reverend Jami Yandle, the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Transgender Support Specialist, offers a heartfelt message of love, resilience, and affirmation. As we honor our trans kin who have lost their lives to anti-trans violence, this video creates a space for reflection, care, and celebrating the sacredness of trans lives. May this message bring comfort, strength, and hope. You are sacred. You are loved. Transgender and nonbinary people seeking support and resources can visit UPLIFT at www.uua.org/lgbtq/transnb to find guidance, affirmation, and tools for connection.
