We Are Looking For A Minister

“Our congregation voted overwhelmingly to start the search process for a contract minister.  Over 90% of us have never been in a UU congregation with a minister.  We seek a minister to nurture our spiritual growth, expand our understanding of UU history, and cement our place as a recognized religious presence in Texoma, comprised of towns scattered along both the Oklahoma and Texas side the Red River and Lake Texoma.  We are the only liberal religious community drawing mostly from six of the communities with a total population in excess of 140,000 residents and growing.  We are rich in potential of becoming a vibrant voice in an overwhelming fundamentalist area.  Read more about us here.

2024-2025 Stewardship Campaign

The 2024-2025 Stewardship Campaign has ended. Our target was $47,000 in pledges and we received $50,310. Thank you to all members who contributed and thank you to a few non members who also contributed!

The Finance Team has put the excess funds into some budget line items that were tight on funds. The new budget will be presented at the Spring Congregation Meeting starting after the Sunday Service on May 19th. All members will receive a packet of information by May 4th.

I Am Willing

We know there is daunting work ahead of us in 2024. Never has it been clearer how deeply interconnected all our issues are, or how very high the stakes are for all of our communities.  We hope you are finding care, support, and sustenance in your Unitarian Universalist community.  We are willing to be part of the work ahead. Listen to the music here.

Multigenerational Body Practice

In this video from Side With Love’s 30 Days of Love campaign that ended last month, Antoinette Scully leads a multigenerational body practice to move us through a magical reimagining that helps us create a shared vision of a world where all can thrive. View the video  here.

Our Seven Principles       ….. Red River is one of over 300 Congregations which has also accepted the eighth principle:
8. “We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
