Each September Austin College encourages incoming first-year students to come to the Nonprofit Volunteer & Internship Fair from 11-1.  Local nonprofit organizations – including churches – are invited to set up and staff a booth where students can ask questions, learn more about RedRiverUU and where we can encourage incoming students to check us out some Sunday morning.  Each year 8-9 UU students start their college years and while other churches have active student groups on campus we do not, mainly because each student group must have a faculty advisor.  We’ve not been successful securing a faculty member to be the advisor.
