2026-2027 Stewardship Campaign

It’s that time of year, when Red River Unitarian Universalist Church begins its annual Stewardship Campaign.
Starting in February the Finance Team looks at expenses year-to-date and creates a proposed budget to cover July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. This budget must be a balanced budget (required by our By-Laws) so the Finance Team comes up with a target pledge amount goal to balance the budget.
This year the Finance Team is forecasting a budget of $50,400. The expenses for this budget are broken into:
- 52% for facilities
- 27% for worship
- 8% for outreach
- 13% for administration.
To cover these expenses a pledge goal of $47,000 ihas been set.
Our Stewardship Campaign will run through mid-April. Once the campaign is ended, the actual of the campaign pledge totals is plugged into the forecasted budget and necessary corrections are made to insure a balanced budget. The Board then approves this budget and it is included in the Spring Congregational packet that will go out May 4th. The final agreed to budget is then approved at our May 17th Spring Congregational Meeting.
