Children’s Clothing Swap (up to 18 years old)
This is a new community outreach event – as part of our 2018-2023 5-Year Plan – suggested by Adrian who indicated she has never found such an event in Texoma. The process is straight forward: people bring gently-used clothing worn by children. Volunteers (that’s us, good people) look it over, count the number and give the donor a ticket on which we write the number of items turned in.
The items are put out on tables, each labeled a different size. They don’t need to be sorted by pants, shirts, etc.
People wander through the chapel shopping for clothing for their children and can take as many items as they turned in.
No money is involved.
The date: December 8th from 10-2
The place: The chapel at Red River UU
Anyone who wants to donate items can leave them in the back hall after church on Dec 2.
If this is going to be a success, and something we can repeat next spring so people can get summer clothing for their kids, we need volunteers. Please email us (use the Contact Page) to voluHelp Needed. nteer. Come help for a few minutes, or as long as you can stay.
