This morning for our third Peace Sunday we continue this special series based on the book Great Peacemakers: True Stories from Around the World by Ken Beller and Heather Chase by taking a look at four great peacemakers:

Mother Teresa,

Thich Nhat Han,

Colman McCarthy, and

Oscar Arias.

Their lives stand out for peace in our current situation and learning more about them can be inspiring.

The Committee on Ministry

The purpose of the Committee on Ministry is to strengthen and support the congregational health of RedRiverUU Church by promoting effective ministries in all areas of RedRiverUU’s mission. Working to uphold the philosophy of shared ministry, the Committee on Ministry seeks to affirm healthy relations between congregation members, between congregation and Board.

The committee (Carolyn Cameron, Elbert Hill and Jim Holmes) will meet this Sunday following the morning assembly. Anyone who wishes to speak with them with ideas, suggestions or concerns concerning the effectiveness of our church’s ministry are encouraged to speak with them. They meet in the chapel.

Newsletter Deadline is Sat!

Tis that time of month, friends! Please send whatever you want published in the October newsletter to news @ redriveruu.org no later than Saturday, September 24.

 

 

For the Oct. 16 Fall Congregational Meeting

are Due no later than Sunday, September 25!

You know if you have a report due because Marilyn Alexander sent you an email reminding you of the deadline.

Please remember annual reports talks about what your team/committee/interest group did from October 1, 2021 thru September 30, 2022, not any hopes and dreams of what you may do in the future.

Email your report to president@redriveruu.org. Did I mention the deadline is this Sunday? Please don’t be late.

Chair Yoga Class

meets on Tuesday mornings @ 10 in the Chapel. Open to all who wish to participate, especially those who haven’t tried it before.
