The Minister Search Team and the Board are recommending xxxxx for the position of half-time contract minister. xxx has been a minister since 1972 and retired in 2012. He recently moved into the Texoma area and he and his wife are remodeling their house near the lake. xxx has been coming to Red River church since March of this year and is currently helping us put together a choir.

The Board and Minister Search Team is recommending we hire xxx  to a 1 year contract as a half-time minister that would be renewed for the second year. This is basically 80 hours a month for a half-time contract minister. and it takes about 15-20 hours for a minister to create a Sunday service. Any remains available time would cover any other duties that the minister and the membership need.

The basic duties of this minister would be to:

1. Work with the Worship Team to help them continue to create our excellent Sunday services.
2. Provide some Sunday services and other special Sunday services as planned or as needed. The Worship Team would also have Mark Davis in for one service a month, plus other guest speakers to fill in the remaining Sundays.
3. Establish and manage a choir.
4. Assist in the church outreach programs to help make them more successful and help the church attract new visitors.
5. Sit in on Board meetings as a consultant.
6. Work with other teams and committees as needed.
7. Pastoral care as needed.
