- WHAT: The Big Bermuda Grass Pull Out Work Party
- WHEN: Friday afternoon, Oct 8 @ 3 pm
- WHERE: In the church’s Web of Life Monarch Garden
It promises not to be too hard since the weather gods tell us it is going to rain today and tomorrow and Friday morning. Grab your gloves (Linn has disposable gloves as well), bring your rain gear if needed (B. grass is loads easier to yank out when it is wet), knee pads and plan on Lending Linn a Hand (or both hands) and help clean out the Web of Life Monarch Garden. For those who have retired from working on your knees, it’s not difficult to stand and bend over to pull and easier to sit and rest. The more who come to help, the faster we’ll get done.
Remember not to be tangled into the web but to walk along the edge.
If it is sunny, we’ll be working among the Monarchs and the diverse pollinating species that utilize our native plants! Yes. They are here fall migration south is underway and are and will be flying through our area..
No special skills are needed, just some enthusiasm for keeping our certified Monarch garden prepared for the upcoming winter. Got questions – Linn will happily answer them 903.436.0054.
